A new school year is a chance to reset more than your class schedule. It can also bring new roommates, new routines, and a new home that feels like a fresh start from the year before.
Brexx at Blacksburg offers a fresh outlook on college living. Our Virginia Tech off-campus housing pairs spacious two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom cottages with modern kitchens, stylish furniture, hardwood floors, and practical features that simplify your move.
Move In with Ease
Move-in day should be about meeting your roommates, picking the best spot for your favorite poster, and figuring out where everyone’s snacks are going, not wrestling a sofa through the front door. At Brexx at Blacksburg, our cottages come fully furnished with the major living room, dining room, and bedroom pieces already in place. Settle into a living room complete with a sofa and chair, coffee table, and entertainment stand, then gather your roommates around the dining table for dinner, game nights, or those inevitable late-night study sessions.
In your bedroom, a bed and mattress, dresser, nightstand, desk, and desk chair give you a comfortable starting point for sleeping, studying, getting ready, and making the space your own. Just unpack your clothes, add your favorite photos, decorations, bedding, and other personal touches, and your new Blacksburg cottage will start feeling like home. Furniture styles and exact pieces may vary by floor plan, so contact our leasing team to confirm what’s included with your selected cottage.
Start Fresh in a Modern Kitchen
A new semester is the perfect opportunity to move beyond dining hall meals and takeout and enjoy the convenience of cooking at home. At Brexx at Blacksburg, each fully equipped kitchen provides the space and features needed for quick breakfasts before class, weekly meal prep, or relaxed dinners with roommates. Granite countertops offer plenty of room for preparing meals, while generous cabinet storage keeps cookware, dishes, groceries, and everyday essentials organized and within reach. A stainless steel refrigerator, oven and range, microwave, and dishwasher make cooking and cleanup simple, while the extended counter provides additional seating for casual meals, studying between classes, or catching up with roommates while dinner is being prepared. With modern finishes and practical features throughout, the kitchen easily becomes a central part of everyday life at home.
Add Your Own Style
The included furniture provides a starting point, but the smaller details determine how the cottage feels once everyone moves in. Roommates can choose artwork, pillows, and photographs for the shared living room, then decorate their bedrooms according to their individual tastes.
Hardwood floors and neutral walls leave plenty of room for different colors and styles. If your cottage includes a balcony or patio, you can personalize that space as well and turn it into a comfortable spot for morning coffee or time outside with roommates.
Laundry on Your Schedule
Each cottage includes an in-unit washer and dryer, so laundry does not require a trip to another building. You can start a load when it works for you and return to it later without rearranging the rest of your day.
